The 23rd is the day after the full moon. A very strong ebb tide will speed our journey down the river. The high tide at Toledo is predicted to be at about 12:30. The high tide at the Cannon Quarry ramp should be about a half hour later, so the plan is to leave the ramp at about 1:15. The 4 3/4 mile float down to the Toledo ramp near the airport should take less than a couple of hours. After shuttling trailers and pulling boats and getting back to Toledo it will be time to meet at Cobblestone Pizza for an early dinner. It's only about 3 1/2 miles to the Toledo Boathouse from Cannon Quarry, and it's right across the road from the pizza joint. Ask about borrowing a Boathouse rowboat or canoe for the float and saving some toil and trouble.
