December 3rd is the day of the full moon. A very strong ebbtide will speed our journey down the river. The high tide at Toledo is predicted to be at about noon. The high tide at the Canyon Quarry ramp should be about a half hour later, so the plan is to leave the ramp at about 12:30. The 4 3/4 mile float down to the Toledo ramp near the airport should take less than a couple of hours. After shuttling trailers and pulling boats and getting back to Toledo it will be time to meet at the Twisted Snout for BBQ. It's only about 3 1/2 miles to the Toledo Boathouse from Canyon Quarry, and it's right across the road from the BBQ joint. Ask about borrowing a Boathouse rowboat or canoe for the float and saving some toil and trouble.
